Overnight dive trips in the UK

Diving around Scotland is fantastic and some of our favourites are pretty much on our door step. 2017’s destinations include the Sound of Mull. On two-day trips we arrive Friday evening, dive Saturday and Sunday, heading home after the dives on Sunday. On the three-day trips, we arrive Thursday evening.

Sound of Mull (2017)

Three days – £400 (£360 for members):

  • June 23rd to 25th
  • September 22nd to 24th

What’s included?

On all of our dive trips we complete between two and three dives per day, depending on weather conditions, tides and your preferences. Often our third dive is a scallop bash, where we collect just enough scallops for a starter.

The Sound of Mull is ideal for ‘wreckies’ and those looking for scenic wall dives. There is plenty of marine life, too. In fact, many of the shipwrecks have turned into artificial reefs. Two or three days here are just fantastic to experience Scottish diving at its best and to chill out – not to mention complete a speciality course! Sample itinerary

Scapa Flow (2017)

Seven Nights – Six days diving – £700 (£650 for members):

  • October 21st to 28th

Deep Blue Scuba are pleased to announce a trip to Scapa in October 2017 … a week on Orkney with plenty of exciting dives on one of the world’s top dive sites and arguably one of those ‘must-sees’ for a cold water diver.

From 21 to 28 October, we will be living on-board MV Invincible (www.scapa-flow.co.uk) in comfortable twin berth cabins (all with their own radiator and wash hand basin), diving twice a day for six days, usually a battleship in the morning and then one of the shallower block-ships around lunchtime.  As the boat returns to Stromness harbour for the night, there’s also a chance to explore the town!

This liveaboard trip includes:

  • Ferry travel Scrabster – Stromness return (we travel on foot with dive kit stored in dive trolleys)
  • 7 nights accommodation on-board in shared twin berth cabins – each with its own radiator and wash hand basin
  • The boat is equipped with two showers, a galley and an honesty bar; there is also a drying area
  • 6 days diving – two dives per day
  • All air fills (Nitrox is available and is charged extra)
  • Continental breakfast before first dive
  • Cooked breakfast before second dive
  • Soup after diving
  • DBS kit hire, if required

It’s a fantastic week’s diving for £650 (£700 for non-members).  Additional costs will be Nitrox if you want it, travel to Scrabster, and dinner in one of the local pubs each evening.

To dive Scapa Flow you need to be qualified to dive to 40 metres (PADI Advanced Open Water, Dry Suit Speciality and Deep Speciality – or equivalent) with recent cold water deep dive experience. We’re more than happy to work out a ‘work up’ package for you.

All bookings will require a £300 deposit to secure a place.
